While feeding some of our Baby Goats today I watch as they would always want to go suck the nipple that one of the stable mates was already sucking.

Ok for you city slickers, let me explain what I am sharing with you.

It is virtually impossible to feed 10 Ten Baby goats at one time by holding the bottles. Hence we have a Lamar Bucket and those look alkies that have been made on the farm.

What we have are several 3 gallon buckets with from 8 -10 holes drilled the sides about 10 inches from the inside bottom of the buckets. Does not take a lot of time or work to get the babes to suck the nipples on the bucket.

Well after a couple weeks of being on the nipple bucket they all find a nipple to suck from easily. It will not be long before the nipple next to one of the babies, looks better than the one a baby is on.

So then the greatest comedy show you could ever want to watch starts. They start going from nipple to nipple and moving that baby off the nipple, who then moves someone else off their nipple.

Eventually they empty the bucket and all bellies are full.

This happens twice a day when we feed the baby goat formula.

I stated thinking how much like affiliate markers are when not weaned from the bottle/nipple bucket. That is going from one self proclaimed expert/guru to another and another until their weaned and eating solid food on their own.
